New to this year is the inclusion of — VHS — video home movies.

As part of this year’s Upper Valley HMD, we’re honored to also screen Impressions on the Art of the Cinematograph with Bruce Posner, part of the CINE SALON AT 20 series, Art of the Cinematograph – Selected Films:

Participate in a Dartmouth psychology research study for a chance to win one of several $10 Amazon gift cards!
We are creating a database of photos of Dartmouth/Hanover residents that will later be used to anonymously determine if pupil diameter effects age perception.
You will be asked to read over and sign a consent form then have a single portrait style photograph taken of you. It will take about 2 minutes of your time!
I will be available One Wheelock (Downstairs of Collis Student Center) from 2pm to 7pm on Saturday, August 13th.

Home Movie Day at the Howe Library in Hanover, NH!

Bring films (8mm, super8mm, 16mm)
and/or stop by and see incredible footage shot by amateurs and professionals alike!

Last year we had incredible footage, which included such gems as

  • Dartmouth 1950 football game
  • Early 1970s footage of Ohio State student programming the school’s punch-card computer
  • “Best in Show” dog show
  • Roller Derby
  • and many more!

They’ll be popcorn and other awesome movie snacks too! Hopefully we’ll see y’all at Home Movie Day and help spread the word by  linking to this post or our facebook page!

Costume Wearer for 9/23

We need someone to dress up as either Buzz the Bee, Lucky the Leprechaun, or something else for a General Mills Recruiting event.  General Mills will  pay the person for his time ($25 Amex card).  The length of time is for 1 – 2 hours from 12:10 – 2 PM or less.  You will need to get to the event by 11:45 am for dress-up.

We are looking for someone between the height of  5’1’’ and 5’4’’ and weight between 130-150 pounds and willing to be animated, wave and have fun with it.

A great short gig for kid or undergrad.  Must be punctual and not back-out last minute. Interested parties should contact Nanette at [email protected]
