I’m starting a 1-year postdoc appointment at Dartmouth in June 2017, and am looking to purchase a bike for commuting between home, campus, and shops. Since I’m only here for awhile, I’m not looking for anything fancy, just has to be in good working condition. I’m not yet at Dartmouth, but will arrive soon within the month.
If you have a bike to let go of, email me at [email protected] with pictures and your asking price. Anything else you can tell me about the bike will be good. Thanks (:
I am looking to buy a used bicycle since I only have one more term left to go and I would rather buy it off someone directly than going to a bike shop. I will be back in Hanover Sept 7th and I can pick it up anywhere within a 15 minute driving radius.
If you have a bike youre not longer using or know someone who is actively trying to sell his/hers, please contact me at edgar.f.rosas.th(at)dartmouth.edu
This Cannondale began in 2012 as a CAAD10 5 105, equipped with Shimano 105 shifters & derailleurs, FSA Gossamer crank, and Tektro brakes. I bought it new from a dealer in Chicago. In summer of 2014, I upgraded to a full SRAM Force groupset (with a SRAM Red derailleur). The crank is carbon with 50/34 chainrings, paired with a 11-28 10-spd PG-1070 cassette. Below, I’ve outlined the parts that make up this bike (MSRP in parentheses).
Cannondale CAAD10 5 105 ($1,670.00)
SRAM Force Shifters ($410.00)
SRAM Force Crankset ($305.00)
SRAM Force FD ($53.00)
SRAM RED RD ($288.00)
SRAM Force Brakes ($137.00)
SRAM PG-1070 Cassette 11-28 ($85.00)
SRAM PC-1071 Chain ($43.00)
Schwalbe One Tires ([email protected] $78.00)
This bike is in fantastic condition. There are some small scrapes here and there (shown in pictures) mainly from one low speed crash, but all things considered, this is a very low-miles bike with many upgrades. There are no dents. It has never been ridden in the salt, snow, or rain and was always stored inside.
Why am I selling? Unfortunately, some issues with sciatica prevent me from riding my road bike anymore. I keep thinking I’ll get back on it, but I have put about 50 miles on it since the summer of 2014, and a move across the country is prompting me to sell it.
Can deliver anywhere along I-89 between Lebanon and Burlington, I make the trip a couple of times a week.

Selling my new bike (Trek 7.3 – one of the best bikes – Official Link) that I bought last summer during my internship to commute. Never used it afterwards. So its almost new. Have it stored inside to protect it from dust, sunlight, water, snow etc all this time. Selling the bike, Specialized Helmet 15(black), pump, bike lock(a very good one), stand, Specialized Rib cage, Front and back Leds. The total cost for all of this 500$ (Original Receipt will be provided with all original cost and warranty). Negotiable. The total cost of the bike and parts was 850 dollars. Contact me at [email protected] for more pictures and trial ride.
Almost new, bought 2.5 years ago but rarely used. (rode less than five times) Retail price at Costco was $260, selling at $130. It’s a great bargain opportunity… First come, first served.

I received a Trek Bike, Urban model as a gift. I think it cost over $500 before another $100+ of front/rear fenders; upgraded seat & rear rack was added to it. I rarely used it, which is why I am selling it.
It’s a hybrid city/mountain bike. The body is a sleek charcoal black. Registered with Dartmouth Safety & Security already. Asking $460.
I also have two like-new bags that clip onto the rear rack. I think they were $70 each & also Trek branded. Selling for $50 each — If I can find them.
A team of students working for the Sustainability Office are starting a program to salvage abandoned bikes on campus. If you have any unwanted, but functional tools, we’re in need of wrenches (ratchet, allen and combination), screw drivers, and any tools useful in bike repair. Also, if you have work aprons, tool boxes, or spare bike parts we’d appreciate those donations as well.
Our goal for the program is to reduce the number of abandoned bikes on campus that are taken to the landfill, as well as provide students with the option of buying a recycled bike.
